You love your children deeply.

But somewhere between the stress, the sibling fights, the arguing, the messes, the exhaustion, and the overwhelm… you became the parent you never wanted to be. You yell more than you want to. You react faster than you mean to. You feel guilty afterward. And then you promise yourself tomorrow will be different. But when stress hits again, you explode again. If this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Most parents were never taught how to regulate themselves during stressful parenting moments. This course will help you understand why yelling happens, what's happening in your brain and nervous system during parenting stress, and how to respond differently — even during difficult moments.

What this course will help you do

  • Stop yelling and reacting impulsively

  • Reduce power struggles

  • Stay calmer during difficult moments

  • Understand your child's behavior more clearly

  • Learn what to say instead of yelling

  • Build stronger parent-child relationships

  • Feel less guilt and emotional exhaustion

Inside the course — module by module

MODULE 1

Why You Yell (It's Not a Willpower Problem)

Discover what anger actually is — a signal of helplessness, not a character flaw — and what's happening in your brain and nervous system in the seconds before you explode. You'll finally understand why "just stay calm" advice has never worked.

MODULE 2

Your Hidden Triggers

Uncover the real reasons parenting makes you angrier than anything else in your life: invisible expectations, comparison traps, and the surprising truth about why kids push limits (hint: it's not to drive you crazy — it's how they check that you're a safe place).

MODULE 3

The Calm-Down Toolbox

Twelve practical tools to use in the heat of the moment — from "Skip Step One" to "Benefit of the Doubt" to the 10-second postpone. You'll experiment and find the 2–3 that fit YOUR personality, because no single tool works for every parent.

MODULE 4

The Parent's Anger Ladder:

What to Say at Every Level The heart of the course. Word-for-word scripts and self-talk for each stage of anger — mildly annoyed, frustrated, mad, and REALLY mad — so you always know what to say next, even at the boiling point. You'll learn how to express real anger honestly, without insults or damage.

MODULE 5

Break the Negative

Spiral Catch the catastrophizing thoughts ("he NEVER listens") that turn small annoyances into blowups, and learn to redirect them before they hijack your day.

MODULE 6

The Gratitude Shift

Simple daily practices — including the "I get to" reframe and your habit tracker — that lower your baseline stress so you're not starting every morning one whine away from yelling.

Plus: the Calm Parent Workbook, habit trackers, and weekly goal-setting sheets to turn what you learn into lasting change.

Hi, I'm Adina — and yes, I yelled too.

I'm a pediatric speech-language pathologist and parent educator, and I've spent 20+ years working with children and the adults who love and teach them. Through Parenting Simply, I've taught communication and anger-management tools to thousands of parents, teachers, and therapists — including courses presented for organizations like the Orthodox Union. For years, parents in my classes would ask me: "So… do you ever lose it with your kids?" And the honest answer was always: of course I did. I raised four children, and there were years I was tired, stretched thin, and pushed past my limit. What helped me wasn't becoming a parent who never got angry — it was learning what anger really is, and gathering practical tools for every level of it. My kids are grown now, and I can tell you from the other side: the hard moments didn't define our relationship. The repair did. This course is not about becoming a perfect parent. It's about understanding what anger really is, what it's signaling, and having practical tools — for every level of frustration — so the hard moments stop running your home.
